Four Pillars Roundup: Business Leaders of Four Pillars in Building a New Democracy with AI

Four Pillars Roundup: Business Leaders of Four Pillars in Building a New Democracy with AI

The Boston Global Forum (BGF) recognizes the vital role of business leaders in shaping the future of democracy in the age of AI. Starting from January 8, 2025, BGF invites business leaders from the Four Pillars — the U.S., EU-UK, Japan, and India — to engage in meaningful discussions on how they can contribute to building a new democracy with AI. These discussions will focus on aligning AI development with democratic principles and working together to create a new democratic model that can be shared globally.

This dialogue will be submitted to the AI Action Summit, further supporting the outcomes of the AI Action Summit in Paris on February 10-11, 2025. BGF also supports the French government and President Macron in advancing the ethical use of AI, promoting ethical business practices with AI, and protecting democratic values when engaging with extreme nationalist governments and dictatorial regimes. Additionally, the dialogue will address AI’s role in global governance.

This roundtable will follow a flexible format, combining in-person discussions, online participation, and communication via email and mobile platforms.

By fostering collaboration and creating a platform for shared insights, BGF envisions this roundtable as an important step “On the Road to the AI Action Summit.” BGF seeks to empower business leaders to ensure that AI enhances, rather than undermines, democratic values worldwide. This effort will contribute to the creation of a new model of democracy, such as the AIWS Government 24/7, and explore how to collaborate with France to leapfrog AI in the economy, politics, and society.
