On this historic day — July 4, 2026, the 250th Anniversary of American Independence — the Boston Global Forum is honored to share a special collection of publications and initiatives dedicated to shaping a future where Artificial Intelligence serves humanity.
Two hundred and fifty years ago, the ideals of freedom, human dignity, and self-government inspired a new chapter of history. Today, as humanity enters the Age of Artificial Intelligence, these enduring values must once again guide a new frontier.
On this occasion, BGF is pleased to officially release The July 4, 2026 Collection: “A New Beacon for Humanity in the Age of Artificial Intelligence” — the publications below. These publications also mark the launch of the Beacon Series, a weekly column by Nguyen Anh Tuan exploring the ideas, values, and architectures needed to shape a trustworthy and humane AI Age:

A landmark declaration initiated by Governor Michael S. Dukakis and Nguyen Anh Tuan, affirming that: “Artificial Intelligence may surpass human intelligence in many domains. It must never surpass the primacy of the human person.”

Version 2.0, enriched with historical photographs, will be officially released at the Boston Global Forum Conference in November 2026, at Loeb House, Harvard University.

- AIWS Lumina Laureates — A New Global Honor for the Human Spirit
On this day, BGF and AIWS also establish the AIWS Lumina Laureates — a global honor recognizing individuals whose lives, creations, leadership, and contributions illuminate the path toward a more humane, wise, and noble civilization in the Age of Artificial Intelligence. The first Laureates will be announced in 2027.
