The burning of Limoges’s historic town hall and violent clashes in Paris, Milan, and Bologna have confronted Europe with a question that will outlast the riots: how can societies address deep grievances without turning disagreement into enmity?

Nguyen Anh Tuan, Co-Founder, Co-Chair and CEO of the Boston Global Forum and Founder and Chief Architect of AIWS, answers that restoring order is necessary, but what Europe is missing is wisdom.

Intelligence helps us determine what is true and what works. Wisdom asks what we should do together when we know we disagree. Wisdom is the capacity to confront injustice, understand disagreement, and find a way to act together: to disagree without becoming enemies. It begins with acknowledging that no one possesses the whole truth. It asks us to understand before judging, verify before sharing, and consider consequences before acting. It does not ask anyone to surrender their convictions or accept injustice.

Only wisdom can turn AI from an amplifier of resentment into an aid to understanding. In the AI Age, wisdom must become a shared capacity of civilization, the central purpose of AIWS Civilization.
