In order to honor achievements in the media industry, the Boston Global Forum (BGF) annually recognizes various products and/or organizations that have contributed to the betterment of society through media and innovation. Building upon its tradition of public engagement, the Boston Global Forum seeks nominations in three categories from individuals around the world. Nominations can be submitted online, and individuals can also vote for nominees. The final decision will be made by the BGF Selection Committee, but will take into consideration the public’s vote.
The 2014 Awards will address the following three categories:
Best Connectivity Platform – this product will have a positive effect on society by successfully connecting people from around the world.
Best Content Production –this product will positively influence or affect the way people receive information, make the world more peaceful, prosperous, and humane. The product can be sourced in any realm, including radio, television, internet, print media, blog, etc.
Best Cyber Security Products – this prize will be broken into three sections – awarding the products that make the most significant contributions to protecting online activities.
The three subcategories are:
– Best solution to protect Denial of Service (DOS), website censorship, etc.
– Best solution to prevent stealing information, account theft, etc.
– Best solution to recognize information fraud.
Award Ceremony:
The Boston Global Forum will formally recognize the winners of the Global Media Awards in a ceremony in January 2015 in Boston, MA.
