Boston Global Forum Announces Forthcoming Book

America at 250: A Beacon for the AI Age

By Governor Michael Dukakis and Nguyen Anh Tuan

To be launched May 1, 2026, at Harvard University’s Loeb House

Boston, Massachusetts — December 8, 2025 — The Boston Global Forum (BGF) is proud to announce the forthcoming publication of America at 250: A Beacon for the AI Age, a significant new book co-authored by Governor Michael Dukakis, Former Governor of Massachusetts and 1988 Democratic nominee for President of the United States, and Nguyen Anh Tuan, Co-Founder and CEO of the Boston Global Forum and architect of the AI World Society (AIWS).

The book will be officially launched on May 1, 2026, at Harvard University’s Loeb House, as a centerpiece of the BGF Conference “America at 250 – A Beacon for the AI Age.”

A Blueprint for America’s Third Century

As the United States prepares to celebrate the 250th anniversary of its founding in 2026, America at 250: A Beacon for the AI Age proposes that the nation’s third century must be defined by technological pioneering, a vibrant innovation economy, and moral leadership rooted in enlightened governance and the renewal of democratic values in the AI Age.

At a moment when artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and global instability are reshaping the world, Dukakis and Tuan offer a clear and compelling message: the United States still has a unique opportunity—and responsibility—to lead humanity toward a future where technology serves human dignity, democracy, and peace.

“I have always believed in the capacity of democratic government to improve people’s lives,” said Governor Michael Dukakis. “As we approach America’s 250th anniversary, this book is an invitation to rethink, renew, and modernize our democracy for the AI Age—without losing sight of the values that made this country what it is.”

Key Themes and Innovations

America at 250: A Beacon for the AI Age combines historical reflection, policy vision, and practical models. Among its core themes:

• AIWS Government 24/7 for the United States

A new architecture of democratic governance in which trusted, ethical AI supports leaders and institutions to provide continuous, transparent, and human-centered public service. The model integrates advanced decision support, a 24/7 digital citizen portal, real-time transparency dashboards, and strong constitutional safeguards.

• A New Silicon Valley Model for the AI Age

A reimagined innovation ecosystem that spreads opportunity across the country, unites public and private sectors, and ensures that technological progress is guided by ethical purpose—not merely profit.

• AIWS Digital Assets Standard Initiative (DASI)

A comprehensive framework for trusted digital assets, ensuring that digital value, identity, and AI-generated content are governed by principles of transparency, accountability, human dignity, and long-term stability.

• Hollywood, Film, and American Culture in the AI Age

A new model for American cultural leadership, including the AIWS Film Standard, where creativity is enhanced—but never replaced—by AI, with strong protections for artistic integrity and human rights.

• America’s Global Role and AI Diplomacy

A visionary yet realistic strategy for the United States to lead global AI governance, deepen democratic alliances, and offer the world a model of ethical, human-centered AI.

“This book is our contribution to America’s third century,” said Nguyen Anh Tuan. “We believe the United States can become a true beacon for the AI Age—a nation that shows how advanced technology can coexist with democracy, compassion, creativity, and peace.”

A Historic Moment: Launch at Harvard University Loeb House

The book will be launched at Harvard University’s Loeb House on May 1, 2026, during the BGF Conference “America at 250 – A Beacon for the AI Age.”
