The Michael Dukakis Institute for Leadership and Innovation (MDI) began informally on September 23, 2015 at the Brookline, Massachusetts, the home of Governor Michael Dukakis, during his Distinguished Leadership Lecture delivered to the first Michael Dukakis Leadership Fellows of 2015-2016.
Some two years later, on September 9, 2017, the Michael Dukakis Institute was officially launched at Loeb House, Harvard University. The MDI Board of Leaders is composed of: Chairman Michael Dukakis, Executive Director Nguyen Anh Tuan, and members Nazli Choucri, Thomas Patterson, David Silbersweig and Alex Pentland.
Mission:
To develop global leaders and connect and engage leaders, including government leaders, legislators, business leaders, and distinguished thinkers to build AI World Society – the Age of Global Enlightenment.
To create strategies, policies, and initiatives for governance of AI, Cybersecurity, Blockchain, and Digital, for socio-political innovation, building a peaceful secure, and a prosperous world.
