An AIWS Civilization E-Card by Nguyen Anh Tuan, introduced by Arabella Vale
In October 2026, Nguyen Anh Tuan traveled through Italy and Croatia on a journey he named the Paradiso Journey. In Verona, he sat beneath the statue of Dante in Piazza dei Signori, and on October 21 he stood in silence before Titian’s Assumption of the Virgin in the Cathedral. On October 22, in the Frari in Venice, he stood before Titian’s second Assumption and was deeply moved. In Ravenna, he stood at Dante’s tomb. On October 25, before a third Titian Assumption in Dubrovnik Cathedral, he gave the whole journey its name, after Paradiso, the part of Dante’s Divine Comedy he loves most: the journey toward light.
That is also the commitment he and the Boston Global Forum (BGF) have pursued for years: to build a Paradiso for humanity in the AI Age. Not a distant heaven, but a civilization where technology serves human dignity, where trust is built, and where people remain the ones who lead. That civilization has a name: AIWS Civilization.
On that journey, in Verona on October 22, he completed Beacon Papers No. 17, The Repair Gap. The question that stayed with him was simple. Artificial intelligence can now find the flaws in the systems we all depend on faster than ever before. But finding is not fixing. Discovery now scales with computing power. Repair still scales with people.
This week’s e-card carries that thought, and an answer: humans and AI repairing together. The intelligence that finds a flaw must also help repair it, and human beings must understand, decide, and renew.
Civilizations have never endured because nothing in them broke, but because they learned to repair. The road to a Paradiso of the AI Age is built from those very acts of repair, and that work belongs to all of us.
Find together. Repair together. Renew together.
