In late June 2023, leaders of the Boston Global Forum engaged in discussions with innovators and business leaders in Silicon Valley, with a shared vision of reinventing and redeveloping the renowned tech hub. Inspired by the words of Gordon Moore, the co-founder of Intel, who emphasized the constant need for reinvention and revolutionizing society, the Global Enlightenment Mountain (GEM) program emerged as a transformative initiative that aims to establish a virtual Silicon Valley model for the AI World Society – the Age of Global Enlightenment.
The Global Enlightenment Mountain Program (GEM), pioneered by the Boston Global Forum, brings together esteemed research centers, leading university laboratories, and cutting-edge technology innovation companies from around the world. This global collaboration includes participants from the United States, Japan, India, Europe, Canada, Australia, South Korea, and Israel, among others.
GEM acts as a conduit, connecting financial investment resources and harnessing the power of talented individuals. By fostering collaboration in both development and market participation, GEM creates an ecosystem where diverse resources synergize to accelerate the pace of innovation. Through this collective effort, GEM aims to facilitate the creation of novel products and technologies that will shape and define the Age of Global Enlightenment, characterized by ethical digital advancements and the third generation of AI.
Just as Silicon Valley has been at the forefront of innovation, GEM endeavors to reinvent and redevelop the tech hub in alignment with the values and aspirations of the AI World Society. By combining the spirit of Silicon Valley’s constant reinvention with the ideals of the Global Enlightenment movement, GEM seeks to establish a virtual ecosystem that serves as a beacon of progress, fostering transformative ideas and advancements for the benefit of humanity in the AI and Digital era.
