The special address highlighted the urgency for government and civic action in the
face of uncontrolled artificial intelligence (AI) development. Tuan emphasized the
initiatives undertaken by Boston Global Forum, such as the AI World Society (AIWS)
and the establishment of the Social Contract for the Age of Artificial Intelligence.
These efforts aim to maximize the benefits of AI while managing risks and ensuring
responsible development. Tuan also emphasized the importance of collaboration
among governments, businesses, academia, and civil society to overcome AI-related
challenges. He highlighted the need for education, leadership development, and ethical
practices in harnessing the power of AI for the betterment of society. Tuan called upon
India, as the host of the G20, to lead global actions and urged the establishment of
alliances and initiatives like the Global Alliance for Digital Governance and the Global
Internet Governance, Digital Empowerment and Security Alliance to consolidate efforts
and shape a future guided by AI and technology for human progress.
